The final research paper will serve dual purposes as a “final” and also meet the writing requirements for this course per the university. It will be the accumulation of the students’ research and thesis over the semester. It will include “who, what, when, where and finally why” of their research topic as well as historical significance, integration of primary sources and secondary sources into a cogent argument, and the proof or disproof of the students’ thesis. It should include a cover page, page numbers, bibliography, and end/footnotes. It will be type-written in 12 point, Times New Roman font, 1” margins all around, and 3-5 pages text. The completed work should also comply with formatting based on the Chicago Manual of Style, 17th Edition.
